"Husain is Shah (spiritual leader), Husain is Badshah (the administrative leader or the king) of this world. Husain is himself "religion" and also the one who gave shelter to the religion. He preferred to give his head but not his hand to Yazeed. The fact is ...Husain is the foundation of The Religion, the foundation of la ilah ilallah"
Principal's Corner

Dear parents,

Assalamu alaikum,

The importance of homework can never be undermined. Substantial evidence exists to indicate that effective follow up of class instruction, offers learners opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills in ways that add value to their everyday learning experiences in the classroom. Homework leads to reinforcement of concepts learned in the class, thereby strengthening the affective and the cognitive, with each influencing the other and providing a bridge to higher order learning.

Research has consistently shown that parental involvement in a child’s learning is a key factor in his/her achievement in school. Homework reinforces skills, concepts and information learned in class. It prepares students for upcoming topics and teaches students to work independently and develop self-discipline. Most importantly it allows parents to have an active role in their child’s education and helps them to evaluate their child’s progress.

Please help your child adequately plan and prepare for sitting down to do homework.

  • Eat and rest before starting homework
  • Find a quiet place (Not TV lounge)
  • Bring all tools/resources needed to complete work (diary, pencils, erasers, paper etc.)
  • Review all concepts learned in class
  • Complete HW even if it is not due the next day
  • Revise for quiz/tests
  • Read ahead if necessary
  • Do not get up for snacking
  • Read 15-30 minutes before going to sleep every day.
  • Enjoy Friday evenings
  • Revise/review all the weeks work on Saturday/Sunday. A few hours go a long way.

Good study skills developed now will form strong foundations for a lifetime.
